Day 4 and it’s Thursday – Surely I’m not the only person who is struggling to keep track of the days of the week?!
If you live near to school, don’t forget to put your bins out tonight. I’ve checked the council website and all collections are going ahead as usual for now. Be sure to wash your hands after touching your wheelie bins, the refuse collectors will have touched hundreds, if not thousands, of bins on their rounds. They are another group of keyworkers to be thankful for.
It was great to hear some of the things that you were grateful for yesterday. These included books and music and being able to open the windows. Keep letting me know what you are grateful for and I’ll keep sharing them. This would be a great thing to do every now and again, with your children, to keep things positive.
PE with Joe sets me up for the day – his baby daughter even took part; demonstrating a few squats today! Being active is good for us both physically and mentally. It also keeps me in a routine which I find helpful in these strange times. If you don’t fancy a workout, you could check out Oti Mabuse’s daily dance class for children. She is live streaming at 11.30am on You Tube. I haven’t tried it yet, but I’ve had a look and I’m starting to see how the celebrities must feel on Strictly Come Dancing! You can catch them all on her You Tube channel if you’ve missed a few.
Top Tip for Today – Remember that learning doesn’t have to be done with a pencil and paper. Practical activities are just as important. Have you tried cooking, gardening, making a junk model, making music, construction toys or playing cards or a board game? Try to keep having fun!
Keep in touch, keep indoors as much as you can and keep well.
