Day 7 and it’s Tuesday.
Here’s hoping that everyone in the Castle Hill family continues to keep well.
We need to keep doing our best to stay in and avoid any unnecessary contact with people outside our own households. Several people I have been in touch with, are very frustrated by seeing people that appear to be ignoring the rules. It is very possible that they are; but we need to remember that it is beyond our control and what we can control are our own actions. It is also possible that they are caring for someone vulnerable, going out to work or need medical support themselves. Try not to judge others but know that you have done the best that you can, to be a part of this national effort to save lives.
Sharon and I have loved hearing from you, please continue to keep in touch.
If you haven’t already had a look at the link to the African animal webcams that I shared last week; I can highly recommend it. In the last week I have seen footage of elephants, zebra, crocodiles, hippos, baboons, gorillas, giraffes, wildebeests, lions, a leopard and various antelope species that I don’t know the names of yet. I may have spent slightly more time on it than was strictly necessary for research purposes!
I have a new list of things that I’m grateful for today.
Blossom – The tree I can see from my kitchen window is bursting into life
PE with Joe – It energises me, gives structure to my day and is fun to do (live on You Tube at 9.00am)
Weather – Makes me feel good, I don’t need to pay for extra heating during the day and I can dry my washing outside!
Friends and family – They are still keeping me smiling and feeling connected
Cookies – My son made some for our 100% attendance at home school, yum!
If you have a chat with your children about what they are grateful for, please let me know. I’d love to hear it from the children’s point of view and share their thoughts on here.
We are missing you all but still thinking of you every day. Keep it up and remember we are all in this together (but apart)!
