Dear Parent / Carer
I hope my letter finds you well and that you are coping with the lockdown. It is certainly a very strange time for us all at the moment and when I next write to you I hope we will have more positive news. I know that I speak for all staff when I say that we are missing you all and would like nothing more than to return back to normal.
As we start the Easter Holidays I just wanted to remind you of a few things and I feel it is very important that we do not lose contact over the coming weeks.
Free School Meals
We have been providing many families with a daily packed lunch over the last two weeks. Obviously this will stop over Easter. However the school will be open every day and if you are struggling to feed your family, please get in contact with us or the FLOs. We have already helped out a number of families and we are ready to help out anyone who needs it.
I am sure you have also heard about the Voucher Scheme that the government has launched for all families entitled to Free School Meals. We are just waiting for the final details and then we will be in contact with you all. Each family will be entitled to receive an amount, yet to be determined, for their child/children and this will be sent out to you in the form of an e-voucher.
The teachers have been working hard to prepare new Home Learning Packs for the children and these will be ready by Friday. The information can be accessed on the school website, or you can still collect them in person from the school office. Please contact us for any help that you need. The best way to do this is through our email that we have set up firstname.lastname@example.org
Family Liaison Officers
Our fantastic FLOs are still available. Emma has been sending out a daily bulletin with suggestions to keep you and your children happy and occupied. These will reduce to twice a week over the holidays but Emma and Sharon can still be contacted at any time if you need them.
Keep in touch
The school is open every day during the Easter Holidays 8.45am - 3.00pm, except for the Bank Holidays, and we are happy to support you in any way that we can. I will also continue to make contact on a regular basis through Parentmail and on the website, please keep an eye out for any news.
Finally I would like to wish you a safe and happy Easter. Please follow the government guidelines as carefully as you can; the more we do this the sooner we will be out of the Coronavirus pandemic. I sincerely hope that I will see you all in the near future.
