Day 32 – Wednesday and we’re half way through yet another week.
Working from home might be a challenge for me today as we have a power cut. I hope the laptop battery lasts long enough to get this finished!!! However, I am grateful for mobile data which means I can keep connected to everyone.
There is a lot of activity going on at school to make plans and preparations for the return of Years R, 1 and 6 after the half term. We look forward to seeing some more of our children back with us. If your child’s year group is not returning, there will still be home learning packs and grids available to help you continue with home schooling. Don’t forget that Pack 5 became available yesterday.
If you do have a child in one of the year groups that we will be open for, could you please make sure that you let the school know whether or not you intend to send your child to school. It will help us to make the best possible plans to keep everyone as safe as possible.
Also, a little reminder that if you have been receiving free school meal vouchers, these will now stop. This week’s voucher covers you until 1st June. After that, the school kitchen will be open again. We will provide a school packed lunch free for any child that is entitled to free school meals but is not in school from Tuesday 2nd June.
Please let the school know if you would like a packed lunch for any of your children. These must be pre-ordered please.
If you are concerned about a young person’s mental health and are not sure what extra help is needed you can call the Single Point of Access (SPA) ON 0300 1234496. The SPA is there to help you explore the difficulties and find the most appropriate response.
We are still #HereForYou.
Keep safe, don’t forget to be kind to yourself and to others and take care, Emma
