COVID_19 Update 30 November 2020

Dear Parent / Carer

Covid Update

I am writing just to keep you updated on our current Covid situation. As promised I wanted to keep you as informed as possible as I am concerned that some parents are listening to rumours or untruths concerning the school.

We were delighted to welcome back all Year 1 children and staff on Friday, all staff and children now report to being in good health. Overall there were three confirmed cases in Year 1 and all these children have now fully recovered, after showing only very mild symptoms. I was also very encouraged that we did not see a greater number of cases within Year 1 or throughout the school.

Although the situation can change very quickly, as I write this letter this morning we have no new or confirmed cases amongst the children or staff. We have one member of staff self-isolating and I know that there are two parents who have tested positive at this point in time.

This is a very positive way to start a Monday. I am fully aware this could change but I felt it was important to recognise the current situation that the school is in. I would like to thank you all for your continued support and the way in which everyone is sticking to the rules. In school we continue to be very vigilant with our routines and we are tighter than ever on our hand washing!

Could I please remind all parents once again not to congregate at the school gates before and after school as it is causing some people unnecessary anxiety. With careful planning and sticking to our procedures we are finding a way to keep the children in school and this is where they need to be.

As always I will keep you informed if anything changes.

Kind regards

Pete Talbot
